5/08/13 - Saas Fee

So obviously I found out the place that I am going to be working this winter is Saas Fee, Switzerland. 

I had never heard of this little place before, but I have since been looking online to see what goes on in this little skiing village. 

As you can see by the 3rd picture Saas Fee is located extremely close to the Swiss Alps. 

The 4th picture is a map of the slope runs, no idea what I'm looking at but hopefully ill know all the runs well enough by the time I'm back. 

04/08/13 - The Company

So the company I am working for is a company called Ski Total. I had never heard of them before the whole application/interview process. This is probably due to me never going on a skiing holiday, or ever even looking to do so. 

I will first make a note of everything I know about the company so far to this day. And then when I've finished my stint with them, I will do the same to see what more I've learnt. 

Ski total is a skiing holiday company - obviously. They have been established now for over 75 years now I believe offering holidays to Italy, Switzerland, Austria & France. 

They are part of a group who's sister companies are Esprit Ski and Inghams. 

Ski Total offer ski chalet holidays for couples, groups and families. Which include children too. 

So far to this day I only know the basics, but after spending half a year working with the company I'm sure there will be a lot to find out.

04/08/13 - Contract

So I've had my contract for a few weeks now, and found out that the resort is Saas Fee in Switzerland that I will be heading out to. 

I fly out on the 29th of November 2013. 

I really can't wait!

25/7/13 - Beginning

So it's 25 to 1 as I'm writing this and I've just decided it would be a good idea to keep a blog of the whole process whilst being away and working in Switzerland. This is the beginning. 

I will try and get as many videos, photos and blog entries as possible throughout the entire time of me being away, with as much detail as possible. 

As soon as I get out to the ski resort I'm sure with everything being new there will be more things to say so I will be posting more. However I will aim to do at least one a week summarising the week when I've been out for a while and settled. 

So that's it really, I'm doing this to keep a record of what I've been up to, and so that I can look back on my experience when its all over. Although I don't mind sharing it with anyone who wants to see, and this is probably the best way to keep everyone back at home up to date with what I'm up to.
